FrameKeep Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2026

This policy explains how the FrameKeep iPhone app ("FrameKeep" or "the app"), published by CodexaAI L.L.C-FZ ("CodexaAI", "we" or "us"), handles your information. It applies to the app only. The codexaai.io website is covered by our website privacy policy.

1. Summary

FrameKeep does not collect any personal data. In particular:

  • There is no account and no sign-in.
  • Your photos and videos are analysed on your iPhone. FrameKeep never uploads them to us or to anyone else. If you use iCloud Photos, Apple syncs your library as it always does; FrameKeep plays no part in that.
  • The app contains no networking code, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising and no third-party software development kits.
  • We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share any data.

2. Photo library access

FrameKeep asks for access to your photo library through the standard iOS permission prompt. You can give full access, give access to selected photos only, or decline. You can change this at any time in the iOS Settings app.

With access, the app reads your photos and videos on the device to:

  • find exact duplicates, by comparing file contents with a checksum calculated on the device;
  • group similar photos and suggest the best shot, using Apple on-device Vision analysis;
  • flag photos that may be blurry, and list screenshots and large videos.

None of this content, and nothing derived from it, leaves your device.

3. Deleting photos

FrameKeep never deletes anything on its own. You choose each item, and iOS asks you to confirm before anything is removed. Deleted items move to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, where iOS keeps them for about 30 days so you can restore them.

4. Information stored on your device

To work, the app keeps the following on your iPhone only:

  • an index of your library: item identifiers, dates, dimensions, durations, sizes, checksums, and which items belong to each duplicate or similar group;
  • your keep and remove choices, so a review can resume where you left off;
  • a scan and cleanup history (dates and counts only);
  • your app settings.

This information is not sent to us. It is included in your own device backups under your control. You can erase it at any time with Settings, Reset index in the app, and it is removed completely when you delete the app.

5. iCloud Photos

If your library uses iCloud Photos, an optional setting (off by default) lets iOS download original files from your own iCloud account so FrameKeep can verify them. That download is handled by Apple between your device and your iCloud account under the Apple Privacy Policy. We receive nothing.

6. Ratings prompt

After a successful cleanup the app may show the standard iOS rating prompt. It is provided and controlled by Apple, and you can turn it off in the iOS Settings app. We receive only the public rating or review you choose to post on the App Store.

7. Children

FrameKeep is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal data from anyone, it collects none from children.

8. Your rights

Data protection laws such as the GDPR, UK GDPR, the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and US state privacy laws give you rights to access, correct and delete your personal data. As FrameKeep holds no personal data about you outside your own device, there is nothing for us to provide or delete. You remain in full control through the app and the iOS Settings app. If you email us, we use your message only to reply and delete it when it is no longer needed.

9. Changes to this policy

If the way FrameKeep handles data changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before the change reaches the app, and update the App Store privacy details to match.
