Frequently asked questions
Why does FrameKeep need access to my photos?
To find duplicates, similar shots, screenshots and large videos it has to look at your library. Everything is analysed on your iPhone and nothing is uploaded. With access to selected photos only, FrameKeep works on those photos, and you can add more from the banner in the app or in Settings.
I deleted photos but my free space did not change.
iOS moves deleted items to Recently Deleted in the Photos app and keeps them for about 30 days. The space is freed when that album is emptied or the items expire. To free it now, open Photos, Albums, Recently Deleted, then Select and Delete All.
How do I get back a photo I deleted by mistake?
Open Photos, Albums, Recently Deleted, select the item and tap Recover. This works for about 30 days after deleting.
Will FrameKeep delete anything automatically?
No. You choose every item, you see a summary first, and iOS asks you to confirm before anything is removed.
Some duplicates are marked as unverified.
These originals are stored only in iCloud, so their contents could not be compared on the device. Turn on the option to download from iCloud in FrameKeep Settings to verify them, or review them yourself before deleting.
Why are some sizes marked as estimated?
iOS does not always report the exact size of files kept in iCloud. FrameKeep labels those figures as estimates instead of guessing.
The results look out of date or wrong.
Tap Scan Again on the Home screen. If that does not help, use Settings, Reset index in FrameKeep and run a new scan. Your photos are not affected.
Does FrameKeep cost anything?
FrameKeep is free, with no account, no ads and no in-app purchases.
